I consciously have to remind myself to write posts of my little boy too. Lately, he has been getting comments such as - not holding his pencil properly, and rather naughty in class. I don't want to sound like an overly protective mother, but so far, the way he holds his pencil looks correct to me. Only that he sometimes need reminding when he is over excited to finish the work - then he'll hold the pencil wrongly. But is there a need to write the comment in almost all his worksheets?
As for him being naughty, what can I say? He is a 4 yr old boy, with bubbling energy. We can't expect him (or all the kids) to sit still even during break time, right? After sitting still during lessons, I think they should be allowed to run around a little, to stretch their arms and legs. Besides, what can you expect from 4 year olds that have to attend school for more than 6 hours everyday? Speaking of this, I am strongly considering changing his kindergarten next year.
I am planning to start the children's "homeschool" a few days after Chinese New Year. With the start of the new school session and preparing for Chinese New Year, I didn't do anything with them at home, except for reading a few books now and then. Well, It's time to start again. I just discovered that he has forgotten how to write his alphabets and even how to write his name. Phew.... that was a wake up call for me - that I must not neglect my little boy and just let his teachers teach him. So far, he hasn't even started writing in school. (Yet I remembered that Joy had to write all those Chinese characters in the first month - when she was in the four yr old classes - for 2 years)
Mostly about my children, reaching their milestones, each in their own pace. Added with a dash of mummy rantings now and then. Also get a glimpse of how God's Grace helps us through the ups and downs in life.

Wow! I love to read about joy's improvements! Well done! As for the boy...well...welcome to the world of boys! I remember I got alot of comments about sonshine's writing too. But at 4 year old, you just got to cut them some slack. He'll improve!
