Kuching Holiday #2

I brought along some work for them. It's meant to keep them  busy, while we relaxed in  the room.  Our 'schedule' was very relaxing and flexible. We either go out in the morning, napped in the afternoon, then out again in the evening, or go out only in the afternoon for lunch and came back after dinner.
Jay with the Ipad. Joy would go to him once in awhile to see what he is doing with the Ipad.
Damai Resort and the famous Mount Santubong behind it.
We don't get to see such beautiful sunset all the time.
Our State bird. Burung Kenyalang.
More colouring for Jay. Well, since he did ask for it. Joy also did some colouring and  writing, but since I'm  have to be by her side, I didn't get her picture.
Jay's first time having cornflakes with milk. He loved it. But I think it's too sweet.
Playing with water before going into the pool.
Resting after a rigorous play in the water.
Joy loved the water. She even attempted to swim! She loved going to the deeper part of the pool and  she scared me  a few times when she fell  and flapped for help. I had to keep my eye on her all the time. (she would not let me hold her in the water. She wanted free reign)
The beautiful resort.
On our way home.
As we arrived at the airport, we had an argument with Jay. Before the flight home, we told him that "we are going home on an aeroplane." When we arrived in Sibu airport, he is unhappy that the aeroplane did not bring us to our house! He expected 'going home' means that the aeroplane will arrive at our doorsteps! We had a hard time explaining to him that we had to take taxi to reach our house. He even reasoned that the aeroplane can be made smaller so that it will fit into out car porch. (after I explained that the aeroplane needs to stop at the airport, because our house is too small for it.) There's a long explanation of real life aeroplane and cartoon aeroplane (he watched too much Mickey Mouse!) Phew!

Kuching Holiday

I'll let the photos tell my story for the past week.

We went to a Gallery exhibiting local artists.
These are some of my favourites.
This is not painting. It's made of wood. Creative, right?

We visited a local crocodile farm.
Can you see the young crocodiles?

A black Himalayan bear.

A turtle. There are people throwing coins on it,
for luck.

A big crocodile, from Indonesia.

I love these ducks. I only get to see these from flash cards. Grin.
A peacock. We learnt how to differentiate the male and female.
I am no good regarding animals. Hubby is the 'expert' here.

A chance to see a snake in the process of changing its skin.

A crocodile without tail. It's huge.

Pheasant.

Monkey.

We skipped this part of the tour. Maybe next time, when the
kids are older.

Iguanas.

These are the crocodiles that protested to my taking photos.
They jumped and splashed water at us, after I took photos.
