Hmmm.... I have prepared to slowly ease my kids back into our previous routine of 'afterschooling' this week, but God seems to have another plan for me.
On Monday, I managed to do a little school and brought the kids out to run in the park. They loved the run. I was thinking of bringing them out for fresh air everyday - If we are feeling up to it. Well, God definitely has something up His sleeves. - My boy got sick that very night. He has fever and not allowed to go to school. He stayed at home yesterday morning, and begged to go to school today. But the teacher checked his throat and asked my father in law to bring him home - because his throat is still rather seriously inflamed. luckily my boy did not fuss when the teacher told him to go home. (he cried and fuss when I tried to talk him out of going to school this morning). Anyway, we predicted he will be absent from school until next week.
With Joy, I tried to get her interested in doing more 'finger' work using the Ipad. She has been showing resistance in 'afterschooling' routine after about a month break. So I am doing it really slowly. Every activity will be less than 5 minutes - mainly just to get her to sit and do something, and also to avoid the sickly brother from fussing. He wanted to do things with us, but I think he needs his rest more. - besides, he did not want the 'easy' stuff. He wants to do the same things as sister. I don't want him to get too tired mentally AND physically.
Well, since we are going to be slower than I predicted.... perhaps just a few sessions of flash cards will do, so that I don't feel guilty of another wasted week.
Mostly about my children, reaching their milestones, each in their own pace. Added with a dash of mummy rantings now and then. Also get a glimpse of how God's Grace helps us through the ups and downs in life.
