Everyone is missing our dearest Joy. Hubby bugs me every once in awhile, to call back and ask about her. Little brother keeps on telling me, he wants sister, and even asked to fetch her, after every meal. (It's almost dark now, mummy, it's time to fetch jie jie) He did not even allow me to lock our bedroom door at night - 'Later jie jie cannot come in.'
Joy has never been away from home from us. So, I called several time, to get updates from mom.
In the morning, she woke up rather late. Mom said, she cried quietly at night, and she had to talk to her and told her that grandmama wants her to accompany her for a few days, since grandmama is lonely. She stopped crying after a few times, and slept peacefully. In the morning, mom was in the kitchen, when she woke up and called out loud 'Wai Kong!' (grandfather). But dad was not at home at that time. She was still lazing on the mattress and refused to come to the phone.
Later when I called, she came and listened for awhile before she ran away, smiling. Dad said she was happy to have eggs for breakfast. The third time I called home, she was asleep. It was around 4pm. I was rather worried. Sleeping at 4pm usually means very late bedtime for her at night. I am worried about mom getting enough rest, but mom and dad are optimistic.
At night, she woke up at 7.30pm, crying. She went to her potty and pooed. I asked mom to call back after she is done. Dad asked her if she wants to call mummy and my dearest daughter went to take the phone herself and handed it to grandpapa. She answered with 'mmm' when I called her name, listened awhile, then ran away, smiling.
By the way, mom discovered that Joy could draw lines downwards but not upwards. Hopefully she could help her with this.
Mostly about my children, reaching their milestones, each in their own pace. Added with a dash of mummy rantings now and then. Also get a glimpse of how God's Grace helps us through the ups and downs in life.
