Speech!

Joy has begun some new sounds this week, but not much of speech. When she desperately wants something, she would say 'yao' (want!) - especially now that there are lots of things to eat at home. (we totally ignored her GF diet, and she has been eating cakes and some of the junk food. What to do.... She would the pitiful odd one out, even at home, if we insists )

We are observing closely and so far, nothing that worries us. Perhaps we would even allow her to stop this diet? Hmmm.... Still too early. Gf diet is better for her health anyway - with or without the Diagnosis. And I am definitely going to continue with the CF diet.

Anyway, my purpose for this post is to report that she said 3 sentences today, when her therapists came to visit. She took a snack from a therapist hand and said "wo de" (it's mine).
Later, as I told her not to stop taking more of the snack as she already had too much, she cried and said "di di yao de" (brother want this) and "wo yao chi de" (I want to eat this).
Everyone was so excited. It just shows that she is able to talk, but only when she thinks she needs to. Still praying for the time when she would voluntarily communicate with us.

*Her sentence (brother want this) is especially surprising to me. It shows that in her little mind, she is thinking of ways to get what she wants - by using brother as an excuse - this is just like Jay. He would say the same thing too, to get what he wants. (jie jie want ____)
