I have been closely observing and 'assessing' little Jay, and discovered some more skills.
Academic
1. Can verbally count to 20...30 or even more, if we gave him one or two hints in the beginning (thirty..... one, thirty.... two.... then off he goes, on his own. - He seemed to get the concept of just replacing the twenty, thirty, or fourty... and add the 1,2,3 ) (He could do this in both languages - Chinese and English)
2. Understand older/younger. Tells our guests the he is 3 and sister is 5. (showing his fingers 3 or 5) and that sister is older (in chinese - da).
3. Counting items has been a breeze for him (1 - 10... and sometimes more)
4. But he always skips the number 14, after 13 and goes straight to 15....
5. Loves to create suspense. Every morning, when he wakes up, he would quietly stand on the staircase and said... ta da.... I am here! (I am usually downstairs in the living room, doing housework, or reading blogs)
Others.
1. Able to open the fridge, take out the Tupperware containing cakes, and bring them to the living room to serve the guests. He will bring them in and put them on the floor, open the fridge, and arrange them back after the guests are gone.
Mostly about my children, reaching their milestones, each in their own pace. Added with a dash of mummy rantings now and then. Also get a glimpse of how God's Grace helps us through the ups and downs in life.
