Back again!

     I took a break from writing here when I started to feel I am losing the need to write. Initially I started this blog to create an outlet for myself as I try my best to juggle between my different roles as a wife, mother, daughter, (not to mention as a full time 'therapist' at home) plus a full time job. Life goes on, but somehow along the way  I lost the motivation to write.
     Well, actually lots of things happened. Since I am feeling the urge to write, here I am.... again.

For a start, my precious daughter has made me proud with her achievements for the past few months. She is totally off her diaper,  knows how to let an adult knows if she is doing biggie on her potty and learnt to 'communicate' with us better. She has added a few more vocabulary in her meagre list, though seldom used, she is showing much understanding with everything we are saying to her. She is listening to our conversations too! In fact, it is now a common sight in our household where we asked, and she nods her head, do a demo or points to something as an answer. An alternative is, she tried to say something as an answer, while we guess what she meant. Most of the time we can understand her! That's certainly something great for everyone. Plus there are less exasperation in our part when dealing with her.

I managed to understand her better too. She has shown more cooperation when asked to help to do something, but wow, she learnt to show her exasperation too when she didn't want to do it. Hi hi, I am actually glad that she is showing more emotions. She is showing that she is jealous of her little brother too. She wants me to hug and pamper her at night, and shows she is unhappy when little brother gets more attention.

This year, she attends a full day school day in Kindergarten. She loves going, and her teacher is slowly beginning to understand her more, and making her do more things she is capable of. - the only downside is, I need to make sure she is not spoilt by people helping her doing things. There are lots of things she can do, like wearing shoes, packing her school bag, putting papers in her school file etc, but she loves to whine and wait for people to help her. Anyway, she is showing much improvements, and I pray for more to come.

 Oh... by the way, she is more curious with what the others are eating too and even managed to try a few new dishes. She is eating chicken meat now, and loving it. Her favourites are still fish, eggs, leafy vegetables and chicken soups. But one thing for sure, she is looking rosier. I just love her chubby cheeks when she smiles! I am glad to buy her new clothes this year, as she has been wearing the same size for the past 2 years.

As for the dear son, he is loving life to the fullest. He loves going to school, is always full of plans on what to do all the time. He loves his food, so he is chubbier than sister, but growing taller, and outgrowing his clothes fast. As I managed to send them to school for their afternoon classes and to fetch them after, I get to see how my dear boy is really looking after his sister in school. He would send her to her classroom before he goes to his class upstairs. When it's time to go home, he would make sure sister wears her shoes (as he patiently waits) and holds her hands all the way to the car. He gets good comments from his teacher and I am so much relieved that I don't have to worry unnecessarily over him. We went to a trial piano class and he loves it. Now we have to wait for the class to open, after Chinese New Year.
